Waitlist Invite Flow, Email Sequence & Platform Improvements
- Feature Full waitlist invite flow — one-click invite assigns a beta code, emails the recipient automatically, and tracks their status (Waiting → Invited → Registered)
- Feature Automated waitlist email sequence — 4 emails over 6 days keeping sign-ups engaged with useful PDI training content while they wait
- Feature Resend invite button — resend a beta invite email to anyone who missed theirs
- Feature Stale invite detection — invited users who haven't registered after 14 days are flagged on the admin dashboard
- Improve Admin dashboard waitlist now split into three clear sections: Waiting, Invited, and Registered
- Improve Signing out now returns you to the myPDI homepage instead of the login page
- Improve Facebook user group link added throughout the app and marketing site — share feedback and connect with other beta testers
- Improve Faster deployments — removed unnecessary startup commands that ran on every deploy
- Fix Feedback widget close button now reliably closes the modal after submitting

- Feature Part 3 Assessment Guide — a tabbed, plain-English breakdown of the National Standard for Driver and Rider Training: what each assessment area covers, what examiners look for, common failure reasons, and links to official DVSA documents
- Feature Public Changelog page at mypdi.co.uk/changelog — full release history with feature/fix/improvement tags
- Improve Competency guide detail page headers now use category colours — blue for Lesson Planning, red for Risk Management, green for Teaching & Learning
- Improve Learning nav now defaults to Browse Courses for new users; switches to My Courses automatically once enrolled
- Fix Dark mode now correctly follows device system preference in auto mode — no longer defaulting to light
- PWA App manifest, service worker, and icons all fixed — installs correctly as "myPDI" on home screen
Competency Guide & PWA Fixes
- Feature Full 17-competency DVSA guide — what each score (0–3) means, real-world examples, what excellence looks like, and cascade interdependencies between competencies
- Feature Competency Guide promoted on PDI dashboard with a prominent banner card on every login
- Feature "Understand this competency" quick-link appears next to any score of 0 or 1 on observation logs — takes PDIs directly to the relevant guide page
- Feature Dark mode now follows your device system preference automatically in "auto" mode
- Fix PWA manifest, service worker, and icons now load correctly — no more console errors
- Improve App now correctly identified as "myPDI" in PWA install prompts and home screen
Beta Invite Management & Waitlist
- Feature Admin dashboard now shows the full waitlist — name, email, role, and sign-up date
- Feature Beta invite codes can now be assigned to named individuals directly from the admin dashboard
- Fix Duplicate waitlist sign-ups now blocked — submitting the same email twice shows a friendly message instead of creating duplicate records
